Line dancing is an excellent thing to host at any party/family event. It encourages even those who can’t dance to get on the floor and have a great time! If you’re in search of a playlist for your next event, you’ve come to the right place!
Line dance is a kind of choreographed dance with a repeated sequence of steps that are performed by a group of people standing in lines and rows. These rows do not face each other and people stand in any order irrespective of the gender. Line dancers are not physically in contact while dancing. Earlier, while line dancing, the dancers faced each other or the ‘line’ was in the form of a circle or at times, there would be a person standing in the middle, who would be the leader. Although initially most of the line dance songs were from country music, now, people line dance to almost any and every kind of music.
There is quite a bit of emphasis on line dancing being choreographed (as opposed to some types of square dancing), therefore you will have to get acquainted with the songs before the event, especially if you’re also the leader. Aside from that, line dancing is really fun to perform regardless of the age of the participants.
